it is still very much visible in major cities such as Karachi and Lahore.

recent years due to regional proxy wars and manipulation of religion by the
some wasted interests caused heavy losses in Pakistan. This form of street
violence went out of control some years ago but then controlled through the
operations with the help of military in major cities.
What government should do to control street
crimes in our country?
Pakistan successfully created the deterrence in its population which helped it saw low street crimes in major cities but due to failure of its Criminal Justice System all achievements are at grave risk. Pakistan immediately needs to invest in its C.J.S and must bring reforms in it. It also should improve institutional capabilities of local forces because they are the sole guardians of law and order in local conditions for which they lack capabilities which should be enhanced through the reforms and financial grants so they could do their work on their own and don’t ask help of military.
