Child Abuse and Crime against childs

 

Crime against child is seriously on rise. Every third world society is threatened from crime and criminals against the children (Both Male and Female). Harassment, molestation and abduction by the adults are biggest problems. sexual abuse surpasses as offences of un-natural, carnal and other forced sex cases against children. Pakistan Penal Code covers Child abuse offences as severely punishable under many sections. The victim children have the coverage for the adjudication by state with compensation under the Juvenile System Ordinance, 2000. Much is to be done under the CRC (Child Rights Convention) of the UNO. The newly legislated destitute and Neglected Children Act, 2004 for protection of children below 18 years is for those in severe threat of social. Children are constitutionally guaranteed rights of protection by real execution of this law.

 Such Crimes are Divided as:

 

• ABDUCTORS

Abduction of Childs is the one of the most horrific crime against the children as in this crime children are snatched of their childhood, their family, their right to respected, dignity and right of earlier peaceful life. 

 Children if abducted they used in different ways to get the benefits for the abductors according to their genders. such as, forced labor, bagging, organ removal and for the ransom.

• DRUG TRAFFICKING 

Innocent children used for the drug trafficking in various parts of world. these children are orphan or the abducted ones. They became the part of this heinous crime because of various compelling factors such as they are compelled to do follow their orders for the sake of two-time meal or they are threatened to do so otherwise they may face worst.

These criminals’ activities against the children should have curbed but due to negligence of political authorities it remained at its peak in our country. Institutions such as protection and Welfare Bureau, Child Protection Directorate General, Child Protection Courts and Child protection officers under the Home Departments must work in full gear to make a model under the act of 2004 for the Child protection and save them from being the victim of these heinous crime because they are the little souls which need extra care and protection till, they became the mature or they start to become familiar with the world affairs. 

Child Abuse.

Child abuse threatened the welfare of children who are less privileged in less developed areas due to vulnerability and weak law and order system. According to some estimate’s child abuse cases in major cities of Pakistan are highly under-reported due to various cultural and social restraints. Parents or family member usually avoid availing justice because of turtle paced justice system and because of so called honor of family and sometimes because the preparators are the clan members.

After the exponential surge in child abuse cases in Pakistan outraged the whole nation and compelled the authorities to take this issue as new alarming threat to the welfare of society. The politicians and law enforcement agencies started to try to reduce this growing menace through the stricter punishments and mobilization of security system and mass awareness campaigns but unfortunately it is still far from reaching satisfactory level of safety and control of this menace. Even some crazy things surfaced too from this whole situation which is the approval of law by the cabinet which seek the biological castration of criminals of child abuse. One can just imagine who gave the such ideas to ruling elite, this type of response just shows that the dealing authority is not understanded the psyche of criminals, such punishment has no long-term impact on child abusers, they need to be treated as abnormal and the objective of state should not be to eliminate the offender, instead it should realize that it has to eliminate the offence from the society which need well thought and well-planned systematic procedure. And such laws also defy the country’s commitments to the international laws which are seeking the abolition of inhumane punishments from society which include end of death penalty and of other inhumane, degrading punishments such as castration.
